Structured Abstract

Background: Hemorrhoids (Arsha) present significant global morbidity. Classical Ayurvedic literature highlights Triphala Churna for its vatanulomana, deepana, and vrana ropana efficacy.

Methods: A prospective, open-label clinical trial was conducted on 60 patients with diagnosed Grade I and II internal hemorrhoids over an eight-week duration. Objective parameters included reduction in bleeding per rectum, pain score on visual analog scale (VAS), and mucosal prolapse grade.

Results: Statistically significant symptom remission was achieved in 88.3% of participants (p < 0.001). Bleeding per rectum ceased completely in 76.6% within 14 days without adverse clinical reactions.

Conclusion: Standardized Triphala Churna is a safe, reproducible, cost-effective first-line conservative intervention for early-stage internal hemorrhoids.
